Mme. Paixao organized another heavenly exhibit focusing on the Catholic Church's corporal and spiritual Works of Mercy. Through interactive activities led by the Holy Cross ShareTech Team, students learned how to practice and follow each Work of Mercy.
Our class participated in the first Holy Cross Christmas concert after the pandemic at St. Patrick with a beautiful rendition of the classic carol "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing".
Mme. Paixao and the ShareTech Team organized and hosted a holy immersive experience of All Sants Day by creating an augmented reality exhibit on the lives of holy men, women, and children in our Catholic Church. Students scanned QR codes and watched videos about11 Catholic saints and 3 who are in the process of being canonized.
CONGRATULATIONS TO MISSING: Student Leadership Award: Gianna Guzman (for selfless commitment to the school community)
Thank you for all your hard work during a challenging year! Have a safe, healthy summer and hopefully, we will resume in-person learning in the fall!
In honour of the 40th anniversary of the annual Marathon of Hope, started by Terry Fox in 1980, students at Holy Cross chose "40" of an activity to accomplish in Terry's memory and to raise funds to support people living with cancer. Our class chose "40 races" - but just like with Terry, it wasn't winning each race that mattered but persevering and accomplishing the challenge! A big thank you to Ms. Cooke for organizing this event at Holy Cross!
Please see the video link below for a very special message from our Holy Cross Staff to all of you during this unprecedented period of distance learning. We miss you and hope you and your families are doing well and are safe and healthy during this time!
